View on the Forêt Toufliht from the Tizi N' Tichka pass. The pass leads into Mediterranean Morocco to the north side of the Atlas Mountains.
Morocco 2
The Ouzoud waterfalls are located in the Middle Atlas in the province of Azilal, 3 hours northeast of Marrakech. Over several levels of red rock, the Oued Ouzoud river plunges a total of 110 meters into the depth. This makes the Ouzoud waterfalls the highest and most beautiful in Morocco. Olive trees grow in the surrounding area, forests of gnarled trees surround the waterfalls.

Of the 22 macaque species worldwide, only the Barbary macaque occurs outside of Asia. Their distribution area is limited to individual forest areas in Morocco and Algeria. These tailless monkeys with their pinkish-beige face are endangered. According to estimates by conservationists, poachers in Morocco catch around 300 young animals per year and sell them illegally to Europe. There are now only about 4000 Barbary macaques left in Morocco.

Ait Benhaddou is a historic fortified village on the southeast slope of the High Atlas. A bridge leads to the old town, which is made entirely of adobe bricks. The richly decorated facade of the Ksar appears as if from another time with an architecture that has nothing in common with Arab buildings. Some film adaptations with biblical themes were shot there.

One of the most scenic drives in the world: The Dadès Gorge, located in the heart of the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco. It is carved out by the Dadès River. The area is known for stunning rock formations and kasbahs along the gorge
Morocco 6
The Todra Gorge is about 600 meters long and is located on the southeastern edge of the High Atlas about twelve kilometers north of Tinghir. Its reddish rock walls, some of which drop vertically, reach a height of up to 300 meters.
