The Allgäu Alps inspire not least because of the varied landscape. In the Allgäu you will find idyllic meadows and gentle streams as well as rocky mountain ranges with alpine flora and fauna, glaciers, grottos and waterfalls.
This ridge hike with spectacular views of the Alpine foothills as well as the Vorarlberg and Swiss mountains makes for a wonderful experience in the Allgäu.

The Schrecksee mountain lake is located at 1813 m in the Allgäu High Alps nature reserve. It is surrounded by the peaks of Älpelekopf in the west, Kastenkopf and Lahnerkopf in the south and Knappenkopf, Kirchendach and Kälbelespitze in the east. The green slopes of the surrounding mountains reach right up to its banks. In some places the turquoise blue water shimmers through.

The Imbergerkamm (1325 m) sinks into the fog. The summit rises above the cloud cover like an island.
The Buchenegg waterfalls are located in the Allgäu between Steibis and Buchenegg and arise from the Weißach. A place to relax.
The summit of the Rohnenspitze (1990 m) protrudes above the Tannheimer Tal. Serpentines lead through a lot of gravel and scree to the summit cross.
The Gigglstein massif protrudes vertically from the forest. It is located in the Grünten area near Burgberg, which is also known as the “Guardian of the Allgäu”.
